With Christmas just around the corner, the fashion world is already stepping out into Spring! In the January edition of Vogue (UK) , they give you a sneak peak at what awaits us for the spring clothes line. I'm excited to say that Fifties glamour is coming back.
Spring will bring floral full skirts that flare out, sweater-girl knits, all-in-ones, jumpsuits and pyjama silk blouses. Also making a come-back will be high, flared trousers that will be a nice change from the skinny jeans.
Vogue goes on to say that new bags for the season will be soft clutches and shoulder styles. The colours are lipstick red, french blue and sunflower yellow. With lots and lots of prints-bright florals, stripes and polka dots. The spring season is definitely going to be one of old-world glamour.
In other news, Drapers mapped out at the end of November the items that are "fueling womenswear boutiques sales for autumn from around the UK".
It seems that the top items being sold are the oversized jumper, Jimmy Choo knee-high boots, white shirt, Ugg hanbag, tunic-style dress, winter coats, James Jeans and chunky cardigans.
